We have 8 horses, 4 dogs and 2 cats. We have been taking
students now for the past 18 years. We take a maximum
of 12 students at any one time and, of course, they live
with us as members of the family. There is a very relaxed
and informal atmosphere in our house. Our visitors very
quickly feel at home. In fact, many of them come back
to us year after year. The age range of the students is
anything from as young as 10 to 20!
But I suppose that the average age is usually 13-15 years
of age. |

Daily Programme
Breakfast @ 09.00 am
English Lessons from 09.30 – 11.30/12.00, with at
least ½ an hour of homework given.The students
are divided into 2 groups, according to their language
ability, which means That there are no more than 7 students
per teacher. Lessons are from Monday to Friday.
After lessons, activities vary according to the weather,
but afternoons are filled with :
Picnic lunch at the beach
Surfing and swimming
Riding (including lessons where necessary and maybe jumping/cross
country for the experienced)
Tennis
Bicycling
Table tennis, volleyball & badminton |

During their stay, the students will be taken to both
the cities of Exeter and Truro for Sightseeing and shopping.
We have a qualified expert who comes once a week for claypigeon
shooting.The students will also do an excursion, by bicycle,
to the nearby fishing port of Padstow.
In the evenings, we play games , such as billiards, Monopoly,
cards, etc. or watchVideos inside and then weather permitting,
outside, we play team games, such as Rounders, races,
“kick-the-can”.or some kind of competition.
Sometimes we do a ‘pub ride’ where the students
ride the horses up to the village And have a drink at
the pub. |

£450 to include full board, language tuition,
riding, etc.
In fact, the price includes all the above activities.

| Extras : |
Go-karting (usually once during their stay), paint
ball games, golf, sea Fishing, tickets for cinema,
theatre, museums and historic sights. |

| Pocket Money : |
I recommend a minimum of £25 per week to
cover the extra Activities. Money for the buying
of presents, clothes, etc, should be extra to this. |
